Radial action menu
A floating plus button fans out actions in a circle with a springy stagger, and each name rolls in underneath.

Where to use it
A radial menu is handy when one button has to hide several ways of creating something: the attach button of a chat app, “new” in a notes app, a quick capture button in a field work tool. This one opens camera, gallery, audio, location, note and link around a floating action button, with arrow keys and Escape.
Six actions is the ceiling; four reads even faster. On a phone the name only shows after the tap, so the icons have to explain themselves. Keep the radius small on narrow screens, or the outer buttons end up under your thumb.
