L'orientation compte quand on cherche un logement, une terrasse ou des panneaux solaires, et une boussole la montre mieux qu'une liste de mots. Huit secteurs à case à cocher sont découpés dans un cercle sur un cadran en parchemin avec couronne graduée, chaque choix remplit son secteur depuis le centre et l'aiguille tourne par le plus court chemin.
La première couleur remplit les secteurs choisis et la pointe de l'aiguille, la seconde règle le parchemin. Garde des noms cardinaux courts dans les autres langues et affiche aussi les orientations choisies en texte près des résultats.
